Paramount Swap Meet
This is considered the biggest daily Swap Meet in the State. Originally, the property was designed to be used as a two-screen drive-in which explains all the open space. (The drive-in stopped operating in the 1980s according to locals.) In practical terms this means: 1) expect lots of outdoor walking, and 2) dress appropriately - wear comfortable walking shoes, sun and/or rain protection. You might want to even bring a cart for your purchases if you have one. Come here to buy inexpensive clothing, toys, housewares, accessories, plants, etc.
It is centrally Located Between the 91, 105, 605, &710 Freeways. You will find lots of parking with waves of shoppers looking to park their vehicles. Expect the empty free parking spaces to have disappeared by 9:30 a.m. during the week, earlier on the weekend. Security guards patrol the parking lot and help to direct traffic flow. On a typical day, there are several hundred vendors to buy from. There is an admission fee for adults.
Location: 7900 All America City Way Paramount, CA 90723 (562)633-6631
