El Segundo: Old Town Music Hall
A visit here is a memorable occasion. Step into the Old Town Music Hall Theater and this living history experience will transport you back to the 1920's when the theater came into existence. This venue was originally meant for live performances. It was built for the enjoyment of Standard Oil workers who were employed at the nearby refinery. Over the years it evolved into its current incarnation - a movie theater featuring live pipe organ music. The 188 seat theater serves as a tribute to the glory days of old Hollywood. Currently, all silent movies shown are accompanied with live music. Live music is one of the many things that make the Music Hall so special. The music is played from the theater's pipe organ, the Mighty Wurlitzer. Shows begin with a 15-minute organ concert followed by 15-minutes of sing-along. Nothing compares to watching a silent movie while listening to the inspirational sounds of the Mighty Wurlitzer pipe organ.
Unique, live music concerts are offered on most Sundays.
